Tips To Measure Womens Boots

Have you set your mind on wearing boots this season? Well, you have made the right choice because boots are so in fashion these days that everyone is wearing them whether to work or to parties. However, the only thing you should know before you go out shopping for boots is that whether they will fit you or not. If you are shopping online even then finding the right boot size should not be a problem! Here are a few tips to measure womens boots and help you find the perfect fit.

there are a few things you have to consider before you are ready to order your favorite pair of boots. You should know the size of your calf because different people have different sizes of calves and should not be a problem because all good shoes makers make boots in various calf sizes. To measure your calf you will need a measuring tape and all you have to do is sit upright on a sofa and put your foot flat on the surface. If you do not have a measuring tape you can use a string to put around your calf and the measure it with a ruler. You have to be sure that you have measured accurately by leaving no spaces between the tape or string and your skin. Once you have measured bother legs, you will be sure of your size, if the sizes vary then just use the larger of the two.

The next thing you will want to measure is the length of the boot so that the height of the boot is just right for you. Some women have shorter legs while others have longer so you want to be sure of the length of your legs to be able to fit into the right boots. All you have to do is keep sitting like you were, with your knee at a ninety degree angle and measure from where your heel touches the ground to the height you like your boot to be at. You should do this to make sure that your boots do not irritate you at the knee crease when yo sit so make sure that the boot does not come up to the crease of the knee. You will find such boots highly uncomfortable and annoying especially when you sit or drive. They will poke at the skin under your knee and can lead to you totally abandoning your boots and that would be something you will regret.

You should also know whether you will be wearing these boots with thick socks or just light tights and leggings because that will also make a lot of difference in the fit of your boots. Some women like to tuck their jeans inside the boots and that means that the boots you order should have a larger calf size. Consider how you will be wearing the boots before you order them! There are some boots that come with an elastic band in the calf so that you can wear your socks comfortably.

You will also have to check what your boot size is because sometimes your boots size is different from a  regular shoe size. The reason being that the boot is like a glove around your foot so in a flip flop your foot will fit differently than it fits into a boot. Make sure you order a wide fit or a petite fit depending on the shape of your foot.
